Executive Assistant To The CEO

Star Care Specialty Health System (Star Care) seeks to invite an amiable and astute leader in the field of executive administrative support to join its Management Team as Executive Assistant to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Senior Executive Team.

The ideal candidate for this position is extremely trustworthy; very personable, kind, and courteous; articulate and well-written; energetic, quick-witted, creative, and fun-loving; enjoys a wide variety of activities and projects; and has a proven track record of success as an administrative assistant to a C‑suite executive.

Responsibilities
  • The primary responsibility of the Executive Assistant is to support Star Care's CEO in the conduct of her duties. Secondary is the responsibility to support Star Care's Board of Trustees, with tertiary responsibility to indirectly support the four (4) other members of Star Care's Senior Executive Team.
  • This position will appeal most to a person who is genuinely fulfilled by supporting others and who is immensely flexible as the nature of this work is very diverse, ranging from extremely menial to extremely complex and from somewhat quiet to very fast paced.
  • The Executive Assistant serves as liaison for the CEO internally and with the public; manages all communications to and from the Office of the CEO; coordinates the CEO's calendar; plans and manages meetings, events and projects; conducts research, collects and analyzes data, prepares reports and presentations; arranges all aspects of CEO, Board of Trustees, and Senior Executive travel including airfare, accommodations, itineraries and expense reporting;

    travels for business periodically; and performs clerical functions including minute taking, typing, filing, emailing, and copying.
Schedule

This is a full time / non exempt position scheduled Monday - Friday from 8am to 5pm, with flexibility to meet the needs of the organization.

Qualifications
  • A bachelor's degree from an accredited university in business administration, public administration, health organization management or a directly related field of study (experience may not be substituted for education)
  • A minimum of three (3) years of directly related, paid work experience
  • The ability to anticipate and quickly assess executive needs then to formulate and implement a plan to meet those needs
  • The ability to thrive when leading, managing and / or supporting multiple key initiatives simultaneously
  • Exceptional organization skills with exceptional attention to detail
  • Excellent time management and prioritization skills
  • The ability to critically think and work at both strategic and tactical levels
  • Exceptional skill in the use of the Microsoft Office 365 Suite products including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, and Teams
  • Proficiency in the creation and use of social media including Facebook, Linked In, Twitter, Instagram, Canva, etc.
  • Skill in the use of smart phone technology, preferably the Apple iPhone
  • A solid knowledge of standard office processes, procedures, and equipment
Preferred Qualifications
  • A master's degree in business administration, public administration, health organization management or a directly related field of study
  • Experience in a governmental or public health care delivery system
  • Experience and familiarity with the Open Meetings and Public Information Acts
  • Experience working within an electronic medical record, accounting or human resource management platform
Additional Requirements
  • Must pass a pre‑hire drug screen and criminal background check
  • Must have a Texas driver's license, liability auto insurance, and be insurable under the Agency's insurance
