Position: Project Superintendent (MEP)

Overview

The Project Superintendent – MEP is responsible for the efficient scheduling, management, and coordination of all sub‑contractors and construction trades to ensure quality and progress according to the project Master Schedule. The Superintendent will have proven construction experience as a Superintendent, a history of leading, teaching, and mentoring others, and the ability to thoroughly understand and follow plans, specifications, design documents, code requirements and other similar construction activities.

Location

& Travel Details

You will travel across the U.S. up to 100% of the time. Potential sites include NC, VA, GA, TX, FL, IA, WY. You will spend 6‑8 months on average per project. Eligibility includes a daily per diem, base pay support, relocation assistance, vehicle allowance, and one weekend per month home rotation.

Responsibilities

• Permit document administration and control
• Complete review and understanding of subcontractor scope of work
• Coordinate safety meetings and overall responsibility for project safety
• Control project access and traffic
• Tool/equipment inventory, coordination and rental
• Coordinate, schedule and maintain records of all project testing and certificates including concrete and soil testing
• Coordinate with PM, PCM and PFE daily regarding project progress, subcontractor performance, QA/QC and reporting
• Complete "3‑week look ahead schedule" and update master schedule with PCM
• Complete Daily Log Reports (Procore)
• Maintain "As Built" drawings for final submittal
• Coordinate and schedule project inspections
• Final inspection and proper close‑out documentation
• Quality control of installed materials and equipment
• Site layout and control of benchmarks

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management or related field
• Minimum 3 years’ work experience as a construction Superintendent – In lieu of degree, 10+ years of experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience overseeing MEP scope of work on new build ground up construction projects is required.
• Prior experience with data center projects is required.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Must have project scheduling, planning, organization and document control
• Superior communication and organization skills, especially when managing subcontractors and inspectors
• OSHA Certification – In depth knowledge of OSHA safety standards and procedures
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, Scheduling Programs and Document control

Additional Skills & Experience

• 10+ years of experience as a construction Superintendent
• Experience with Microsoft Project or Primavera (P6)
• Experience in projects greater than $20 million
• Bilingual (English/Spanish)
• Willingness to travel through the U.S.
