Overview

The Project Superintendent - Structural / Architecture is responsible for the efficient scheduling, management, and coordination of all subcontractors, construction trades, and labor crews to work in unity in order to ensure quality and construction progress according to the project Master Schedule. The Project Superintendent will have proven construction experience as a Superintendent, a history of leading, teaching, and mentoring others successfully, and the ability to thoroughly understand and follow plans, project specifications, design documents, code requirements and other similar construction activities.

Location

& Travel Details

Travel across the U.S. This traveling position is up to 100% of the time, with work sites in NC, VA, GA, TX, FL, IA, WY. Average 6–8 months per project. Daily per diem, vehicle allowance, and home rotation one weekend per month may be available for eligible candidates.

Responsibilities
  • Permit document administration and control
  • Complete review and understanding of subcontractor's scope of work
  • Coordinate safety meetings and overall responsibility for project safety
  • Control project access and traffic
  • Tool/equipment inventory, coordination and rental
  • Coordinate, schedule and maintain records of all project testing and certificates including concrete and soil testing
  • Coordinate with PM, PCM and PFE daily regarding project progress, S/C performance, QA/QC and reporting
  • Complete “3‑week look ahead schedule” and update master schedule with PCM
  • Complete Daily Log Reports (Procore)
  • Maintain “As Built” drawings for final submittal
  • Coordinate and schedule project inspections
  • Final inspection and proper close‑out documentation
  • Quality control of installed materials and equipment
  • Site layout and control of benchmarks
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management or related field
  • Minimum 3 years’ work experience as a construction Superintendent (or 10+ years in lieu of degree)
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience overseeing Structural / Architecture scope of work on new build ground‑up construction projects
  • Prior experience with data center projects
  • Project scheduling, planning, organization and document control skills
  • Superior communication and organization skills, especially when managing subcontractors and inspectors
  • OSHA Certification with in‑depth knowledge of OSHA safety standards and procedures
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, Scheduling Programs and Document control
Preferred Experience
  • 10+ years of experience as a construction Superintendent
  • Experience with Microsoft Project or Primavera (P6)
  • Experience in projects greater than $20 million
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish)
  • Willingness to travel through the US
