Position Description

The Department of Kinesiology & Sport Management in the College of Arts & Sciences at Texas Tech University invites applications for a full‑time, 9‑month, tenured/tenure‑track position to begin September 1, 2026. This position is for a tenure‑track open rank in metabolic and/or neurological diseases (obesity, cardiometabolic diseases, age‑related diseases) with expertise in dietary (dietary patterns, bioactive compounds, precision nutrition) and/or exercise interventions and the impact of these interventions related to nutrigenomics and the microbiome.

the Department/School/Area

The Department of Kinesiology & Sport Management offers a B.S. in Kinesiology with online and face‑to‑face options and an M.S. in Kinesiology for over 1,500 undergraduate and 40 graduate students, respectively. The department enrolls over 400 undergraduate students in the B.S. in Sport Management and over 75 master’s degree students in the M.S. in Sport Management. It also offers a Ph.D. in Exercise Physiology, which enrolls approximately 20 students.

Its building includes six classrooms, a student computer lab, 14 research laboratories, and offices for faculty, staff, and doctoral students.
