Position DescriptionContributes to the University's and Texas Tech K-12 mission through teaching and service. Provides instruction, appropriate assistance, information and tutoring. Performs instructional and educational work while serving as an online teacher. Provides feedback and grades for lessons, exams and final course grades. Organizes and develops course work, coordinates classes for students, observes and assesses the needs of the students. Maintains communication both formally and informally with students and other educators.

This position will begin as part-time, with the potential to move to full-time in June 2026 based on business needs and performance.
- Serve as the primary instructor for online K-12 courses. This will include assessment of student learning, evaluating student homework assignments, providing regular feedback to students within 2 business days.
- Communicate with students regularly including using online discussion boards, chat features, synchronous collaboration tools, email communications, and phone chat. Teachers will be required to respond to student questions within 24 hours / 1 business day.
- Regular communication with full-time/lead teachers and/or principals regarding grade turnaround, student performance, curricular alignment, students of concern, and other instructional issues that need to be discussed.
