Senior Project Manager; Structural & Architectural

Overview

The Senior Project Manager is responsible for leading and managing the Structural & Architectural scope of work to deliver exceptional results for our clients. The Senior PM is an executive level position, and is expected to identify, propose, close, and manage construction projects and staff.

Location & Travel Details: You'll get the opportunity to travel across the US, helping our team build infrastructure projects.
This is a traveling position, up to 100% of the time. You have the potential to be placed on a project site located in various states throughout the US. (Full List : NC, VA, GA, TX, FL, IA, WY) You will spend 6-8 months on average per project. If eligible, we offer designated daily per diem in addition to base pay to support and help you cover living expenses and relocation assistance.

If eligible, the position includes a vehicle allowance. If eligible, travel home rotation will be one weekend per month away from the jobsite.

Mas Tec's Clean Energy and Infrastructure Group (CE&I) is a $4 billion annual revenue business unit that provides construction services for industrial facilities; building products manufacturers, power generation facilities, manufacturing plants; solar, wind, and thermal energy plants; buildings, and infrastructure.

• Develop solutions to ensure that issues never become problems. Studies bid specs carefully, looking for potential issues before the commencement of the project.
• Develop contingency plans proactively to mitigate potential risks - in the event an item of the critical path is delayed.
• Understands the subcontractor scope and contracts, and identifies opportunities and risks.
• Ensure that every member of the team has a comprehensive Business Development plan to meet and exceed their targets.
• Attend interviews as required to close new business.
• Attend industry, social and non-profit events to build relationships and identify new opportunities.
• Proactively build and sustain relationships with targeted clients.
• Initiate new projects with architects, engineers and owners.
• Successfully identify and develop a specific niche.
• Proactively communicate with the client team at all times.
• Proactively develop relationships with the subcontractor community.
• Recruit new qualified subcontractors.
• Track and procure new work through the subcontractor community.
• Ensure accuracy of subcontractor requisitions.
• Lead a team of Project Managers and Assistant Project Managers to deliver exceptional results.
• Recruit high-caliber personnel from outside sources, college campuses, etc.
• Manage multiple project teams successfully while maximizing both profit and client satisfaction.
• Work with on-site Superintendents to deliver the highest possible quality and customer satisfaction.
• Lead the pre-construction/RFP package effort with the help of the estimating department.
• Build strong win-win relationships with other departments within Lemartec, including accounting, marketing, business development and estimating.
• Ensure that the project quality control plan is in effect and followed.
• Ensure that the punch list is completed to the client's satisfaction.
• Submit project change orders to clients within Lemartec's standards.
• Complete and distribute meeting minutes within 24 hours of progress meetings.
• Prepare, complete, and submit O&M manuals to clients within 30 days of substantial completion.
• Complete WIP reports within scheduled timeframe.
• Ensure that the job processes are followed in accordance with policy.

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering or Construction. Additional 5 years of relevant work experience in lieu of experience.
• Minimum 10 Years of experience as a project manager overseeing the Structural & Architectural scope of work for commercial and industrial projects. Preferred 15+ years of experience of Structural & Architectural preferred.
• Prior experience with data center projects is required.

• Familiarity with local specifications and supplements to each and with reading blueprints
• Proficiency in planning, scheduling, and production, in P6, Microsoft Project or equivalent software and in Microsoft Office suite of software-Excel/Word/Outlook also needed…
