Building Services Engineer
Hill International is seeking a MEP Construction Inspector - Healthcare in Lubbock, Texas
Qualifications- 10 – 15 years of experience.
- Experience as a mechanical, electrical and plumbing foreman.
- Experience in healthcare and/or research projects is preferred but not required.
- ICC Certified (by discipline – mechanical, plumber, electrical) is preferred but not required.
- Must be willing to work in Lubbock, TX and Amarillo, TX.

- Conduct daily observation of construction work for compliance with approved contract drawings, specifications, applicable code items, and approved submittals and shop drawings. Issue Observation Reports noting conditions of non-compliance, with proper reference to detailed drawings and specifications sections. Project portfolio: 1 project, average value $10M-$50M
- Attend early morning, evening, or after-hours installations (ex: concrete pours) requiring owner representation. Flexible hours required for construction observations.
- Maintain and organize on-site project documentation, including inspection and test reports, inspection logs, inspection maps showing areas complete, pass / fail logs, and other client required documentation. etc.
- Documenting inspection information in the contractor and/or client project management information system (PMIS).
- Coordinate and monitor material testing, air balance testing, and systems testing. Monitor Commissioning process, including equipment testing, functional performance tests and building integration of inter-related systems. Monitor deficiency logs to ensure follow-up re-testing and system performance.
- Issue punch lists for above ceiling, open wall and Substantial Completion inspections, and revisit to confirm completion of deficiencies.
- Stay current in Codes and Regulations applicable to design and construction, including International Building Codes, NFPA 101, TDLR, OSHA, ADA, ASHRAE 90.1, SWPPP and any special requirements of the building type (e.g., healthcare, research labs, special campus project types etc.)
