Garver is seeking a Water/Wastewater Project Engineer in our Lubbock or Amarillo office to join our Texas Water team. The Project Engineer will work under a Project Manager, collaborating with a team of design engineers and CAD technicians to produce reports, studies, technical memoranda, plans, details, and specifications. The role requires working closely with clients to exceed their expectations.

The position involves designing various projects, including:

  • Water conveyance and distribution systems, including pump stations and storage facilities
  • Wastewater conveyance and collection systems, including pumping/lift stations and force mains
  • Water and wastewater treatment plants
  • Improvements and retrofitting of existing facilities
  • Water, wastewater, and reuse master planning

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in civil, biological, chemical, mechanical, or environmental engineering from an ABET-accredited program
  • At least 2 years of experience in municipal water/wastewater system design
  • Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification or ability to obtain within 6 months

Preferred Skills:

  • Master’s degree in relevant engineering fields from an ABET-accredited program
  • Experience with Microstation, GIS, Water

    CAD, or SewerCAD
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to work independently with analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, and Outlook
