Position OverviewOur client is seeking a Licensed Registered Professional Land Surveyor (RPLS) in Texas to join their growing team. This role combines hands‑on fieldwork, data processing, and coordination with engineers, clients, and field crews. The ideal candidate is technically strong, detail‑oriented, and comfortable working independently while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct physical site surveys using industry-standard equipment and tools
- Perform electronic data collection; prepare field sketches and notes
- Coordinate and oversee field staff; process and review field data
- Interface closely with civil engineers and internal project teams
- Verify survey data accuracy, including measurements and calculations
- Calculate land parcel areas and easements using math and software tools
- Research prior survey records, including deeds, maps, and physical evidence
- Prepare surveying documents and present findings to clients
- Interact professionally with client representatives and landowners
- Read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and tolerances
- Maintain survey vehicles and field equipment
- Texas Registered Professional Land Surveyor (RPLS) – Required
- 5+ years of surveying industry experience (crew chief experience preferred)
- Proficient with Trimble total stations, GNSS receivers, data collectors, and tablets
- Experience with Trimble equipment preferred
- AutoCAD experience (preferred)
- Strong computer, technical, and organizational skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proven work history, strong work ethic, and team‑player mindset
- Ability to travel occasionally (not frequent)
- Valid driver’s license; ability to pass background check and drug screening
- Ability to reliably commute to or relocate to Amarillo, TX or Wolfforth (Lubbock), TX prior to start date
