Multi-Unit Team Leader Hrly at H&R Block

You will be located across three H&R Block tax offices and will lead customer‑centric teams to accelerate seasonal tax business. This is a front‑line management role focused on leadership and development of associates, delivering an outstanding client experience, and achieving office growth objectives for three offices. Prior tax preparation experience is not required.
You will start with a flexible part‑time schedule in the fall to prepare for the busy tax season and transition to full‑time from January to April, including evening and weekend hours as needed. This role is in‑person and not remote.
Responsibilities- Provide leadership over three H&R Block tax offices, guiding customer‑centric teams to grow seasonal business.
- Act as the front‑line manager for leadership and development of associates, delivering an outstanding client experience.
- Lead daily team meetings, communicate essential information, and create associate work schedules across offices.
- Manage office staffing, operations, and logistics for multiple offices with support from Associate Team Leaders.
- Travel between offices as required.
- Prepare tax returns as needed, upon successful completion of the Income Tax Course or Tax Knowledge Assessment.
- People management experience with the ability to grow and develop associates.
- Aptitude for growth plan execution and leading toward a growth culture.
- Strong decision‑making, judgment, and ability to work in a fast‑paced environment with minimal supervision.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a customer‑centric mindset.
- Computer proficiency with MS Office.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field, or high school diploma with equivalent experience.
- Successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment or Income Tax Course (if preparing tax returns).
