The role of the Financial Consultant Investments is to establish value-added relationships with customers to understand their financial needs and to offer solutions for those needs.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESBroad knowledge of fields such as accounting, marketing, business administration, finance, etc. Equivalent to a four year college degree, plus 2 years related experience and/or training, and 19 to 23 months related management experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
COMMUNICATION SKILLSAbility to write reports, business correspondence, and policy/procedure manuals; ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLSAbility to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to prepare and interpret bar graphs.
CRITICAL THINKING SKILLSAbility to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
REQUIRED CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONSNASD Series 7 - currently maintain or must pass within 90 days
NASD Series 66 - currently maintain or must pass within 90 days
Certified Financial Planner, Certified Financial Analyst or other high level certifications in the investment field.
SOFTWARE SKILLS REQUIREDAdvanced:
Contact Management, Database, Presentation/PowerPoint, Spreadsheet

Somewhat disagreeable working conditions. Continuously exposed to one or two elements such as noise, intermittent standing, walking; and occasional pushing, carrying, or lifting.
ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONSThe noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

distance vision; peripheral vision; depth perception; and ability to adjust focus.
