Respiratory Therapist​/PRN

Job Title

Respiratory Therapist/PRN – Surgery Partners, Inc, Lubbock Heart & Surgical Hospital.

Provide therapeutic and diagnostic pulmonary care to inpatients and outpatients 24/7 in a physician‑owned, team‑focused environment with opportunities for advancement.

• Provide therapeutic and diagnostic pulmonary care for inpatients and outpatients 24 hours per day, 7 days per week.
• Administer therapeutic medical gases, aerosol therapy, prescribed medications, and evaluate and report therapy effectiveness to physicians and other health‑care workers.
• Assist with procedures used for continuous ventilation, airway management, pulmonary postural drainage or chest physiotherapy, and cardiopulmonary resuscitation.
• Assist in diagnostic and therapeutic testing techniques (Pulmonary Function testing, Bronchoscopy, EKG, ABG, Exercise and Nocturnal oximetry studies).
• Assist with patient’s oronasal and/or tracheal suctioning.
• Maintain accurate records of patient therapy and department records.
• Provide age‑appropriate care and assess data to determine patient needs according to unit policies and procedures.
• Demonstrate required knowledge and competencies initially and annually.

• Registered, certified, and licensed by the state of Texas in Respiratory Care;
  National Board for Respiratory Care registration or eligibility required.
• Basic Life Support certification;
  Advanced Cardiac Life Support preferred.
• Three to five (3–5) years combined clinical experience.

PRN (as needed) with flexible scheduling and no mandatory overtime.
