Position

Description

This position is responsible for the provision of basic nursing care and services performed under the direct supervision of a licensed nurse or physician. Work is performed under usual clinic conditions with a high degree of contact with patients and clinic personnel.

Responsibilities
  • Patient Observation – Monitor patients for changes in health, behavior, or condition, and report relevant information to the supervising nurse.
  • Patient Environment – Maintain cleanliness in patient rooms, make beds, and ensure overall safety of the patient’s living space.
  • Communication & Support – Provide compassionate emotional support to patients and families and act as a liaison between the patient and the care team.
  • Documentation – Accurately document care activities, observations, and patient responses in accordance with facility policies and procedures.
  • Vital Signs – Accurately take and record vital signs (temperature, pulse, respiration, blood pressure) and report any changes or abnormalities to the nursing staff.
Occasional Duties

Other duties as assigned by the nurse manager and/or department administrator.

Required Qualifications

A minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent. Completion of a nursing assistant training course or six months of experience as a nursing assistant.

Preferred Qualifications

Six months of experience as a nursing assistant.

Pay Grade Minimum: 15

Pay Grade Maximum: 24.75
