PositionDescription
This position is responsible for the provision of basic nursing care and services performed under the direct supervision of a licensed nurse or physician. Work is performed under usual clinic conditions with a high degree of contact with patients and clinic personnel.
Responsibilities- Patient Observation – Monitor patients for changes in health, behavior, or condition, and report relevant information to the supervising nurse.
- Patient Environment – Maintain cleanliness in patient rooms, make beds, and ensure overall safety of the patient’s living space.
- Communication & Support – Provide compassionate emotional support to patients and families and act as a liaison between the patient and the care team.
- Documentation – Accurately document care activities, observations, and patient responses in accordance with facility policies and procedures.
- Vital Signs – Accurately take and record vital signs (temperature, pulse, respiration, blood pressure) and report any changes or abnormalities to the nursing staff.
Other duties as assigned by the nurse manager and/or department administrator.
Required QualificationsA minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent. Completion of a nursing assistant training course or six months of experience as a nursing assistant.
Preferred QualificationsSix months of experience as a nursing assistant.
