Description

Lead Sterile Processing Technician

The Lead Sterile Processing Technician performs routine maintenance and preparation of instruments, supplies and equipment requiring decontamination and sterilization in a medical facility, as well as all duties performed by the Sterile Processing Technician I & II.

  • Available

    Shifts:

    Full-Time, Variable
  • This is an on-site position, requiring daily attendance at the designated location.
  • Candidates must reside within commutable distance of the following office location:
    Texas:
    Lubbock
  • Flexibility to work a day, evening or night shift as scheduled
  • Must be available to work weekends and holidays as scheduled, based on operational and departmental requirements.

Required Qualifications:

  • Coursework/Training:
    Sterile processing class, training, or vocational education.
  • Coursework/Training:
    Vocational training in Sterile Processing, decontamination/sterilization procedures, supply distribution or related job experience in a hospital, clinic, or medical laboratory.
  • Diploma from a Surgical Technology Vocational School
  • Upon Hire:
    National Certified Registered Central Service Technician - Healthcare Sterile Processing Association
    -OR
    - National Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician - Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution
  • 5 or more years of experience as a Senior Sterile Processing Technician with emphasis on instrumentation processing and sterilization
  • 2 or more years of experience at Covenant Health as a Sterile Processing Technician
  • 2 or more years of experience as a Sterile Processing Technician in an acute care center with primary responsibility for instrumentation processing and sterilization
  • Experience with Microsoft Office
