Description
Senior Pharmacy Technician performs duties related to the filling and dispensing of unit dose and stock medications from the pharmacy to the nursing units and other ancillary departments promptly and accurately. Duties include filling/dispensing oral and IV medications, triaging patient orders, and maintaining the integrity of the automated dispensing system (ADS). This role requires advanced knowledge and skills in two or more specialty areas in the pharmacy.

Role Details- This role is an onsite position and will report onsite daily as scheduled.
- Flexibility to work a rotating schedule, including weekends and holidays as scheduled.
- Work status available per diem/on‑call, day.
- Positions specified as "on call/per diem" refer to employment consisting of shifts scheduled on an "as needed" basis to fill staff vacancies.
- High School Diploma or GED Equivalent.
- Upon hire:
Texas Pharmacy Technician Trainee or Texas Registered Pharmacy Technician License. - 2+ years (≥4160 clock hours) of pharmacy practice in an integrated health system and PTCB certification; OR 3+ years (≥6240 hours) in a hospital pharmacy if no PTCB certification.
- New Mexico Pharmacy Technician – New Mexico Board of Pharmacy upon hire, or Texas Pharmacy Technician Trainee or Texas Registered Pharmacy Technician License upon hire.
- Previous experience with Automated Dispensing Machines (ADMs) and electronic health records (EHR).
- Graduate of a Pharmacy Technician program.
- Advanced PTCB certificate (e.g., compounded sterile products, advanced certified pharmacy technician, medication history certificate, controlled substances).
- Specialty certification (e.g., ACPE‑approved sterile compounding certification) where applicable by role and state.

Benefitsand Compensation
Minimum and maximum wage rates are listed for this position. The successful candidate’s placement on the wage range will be determined based on relevant job experience and applicable factors. Base pay ranges: $19.24–$29.45 per hour. Additional compensation may be available for shift differentials, standby/on‑call, overtime, bonuses, and other incentives.
