Full Time, Position Summary The Houseman is responsible for supporting the Housekeeping Department by maintaining the cleanliness, organization, and overall appearance of public areas, guest floors, storage areas, and other assigned spaces. The Houseman assists housekeeping staff with daily operations and helps ensure guests experience a clean, safe, and welcoming environment.

• Maintain the cleanliness and appearance of all assigned public areas, including lobbies, hallways, elevators, stairwells, restrooms, and other common areas.
• Vacuum, sweep, mop, dust, and remove trash as needed.
• Assist Room Attendants with stripping beds, removing soiled linens, delivering clean linens, towels, and other housekeeping supplies.
• Transport linens, supplies, amenities, and equipment throughout the hotel.
• Maintain housekeeping closets, storage rooms, and work areas in a clean and organized condition.
• Remove trash, dirty linen, and other materials from guest floors and designated areas.
• Respond promptly to requests from supervisors, Room Attendants, Front Desk, Maintenance, and other hotel departments.
• Deliver requested guest items, such as towels, linens, or other approved amenities, in a timely and professional manner.
• Report maintenance concerns, safety hazards, damaged property, or unusual conditions to a supervisor immediately.
• Assist with cleaning guest rooms when assigned or when additional support is needed.
• Help prepare rooms and public areas for arrivals, special events, and other hotel activities.
• Follow all hotel safety, security, and housekeeping procedures.
• Properly use and maintain assigned equipment and cleaning supplies.
• Provide courteous and professional service to all guests, coworkers, and visitors.
• Maintain a professional appearance and follow all Cotton Court and Valencia Hotel Collection standards.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.

• Qualifications Previous hotel housekeeping or cleaning experience preferred, but not required.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to follow directions and complete assigned tasks in a timely manner.
• Strong attention to cleanliness, organization, and detail.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to maintain a professional and positive attitude in a fast-paced environment.

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, push, pull, and reach throughout the workday.
• Ability to lift, carry, and move housekeeping supplies, linens, and equipment.
• Ability to push housekeeping carts and other equipment.
• Ability to perform repetitive cleaning and physical tasks in a fast-paced environment.

This position may require flexibility to work mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, holidays, and other shifts based on hotel business needs.
