Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per Hour DOE | Full-Time | Monday - Friday
Are you an organized, detail-oriented professional with experience in Human Resources and Payroll? We are seeking an HR Assistant to support our HR department with recruiting, onboarding, employee relations, payroll processing, and administrative functions. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with people while ensuring accuracy and compliance behind the scenes.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist with recruiting, interviewing, onboarding, and new hire orientation
- Process weekly, bi-weekly, or semi-monthly payroll accurately and on time
- Review timesheets, attendance records, and payroll data for accuracy
- Maintain employee personnel files and HR records
- Assist with benefits administration, enrollments, and employee changes
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll, benefits, and company policies
- Prepare employment documents, reports, and HR correspondence
- Coordinate background checks, drug screenings, and other pre-employment requirements
- Support employee relations initiatives and HR projects
- Ensure compliance with company policies and employment laws
- Perform general administrative and clerical duties as needed
- Previous Human Resources experience preferred
- Payroll processing experience required
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word
- Experience with HRIS and payroll software preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
- Experience with benefits administration
- Knowledge of payroll compliance and employment regulations
- Competitive pay of $18.00 - $22.00 per hour DOE
