Senior Software Development Engineer

As a Senior SDE, you’ll lead the design and development of scalable SaaS solutions that empower educators and students nationwide. You’ll influence architecture decisions, mentor engineers, and drive innovation in a fast-growing EdTech environment. Drive the technical vision, design, and development of our scalable SaaS solutions, empowering Career Tech Education (CTE) students and educators nationwide.

Lead engineering initiatives for reliability, growth, and continuous improvement across our React/.NET/Azure platform.

• Hands on work in architecting, building, and maintaining high-performance SaaS systems for delivering courses, instructor resources, and analytics.
• Lead technical design reviews, mentor engineers, and champion best practices in scalable cloud applications (React, .NET, C#, Azure SQL, MVC).
• Establish and enhance automated testing (BDD, TDD, Playwright), CI/CD pipelines (Azure Dev Ops), and deployment processes for reliability and rapid release cycles.
• Proactively research, propose, and implement new technologies or architectural improvements to advance our mission.
• Ensure the platform stays compliant with industry standards for data protection, accessibility (WCAG), and interoperability.
• Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and knowledge sharing across teams.

• Advanced programming expertise with .NET (C#), React or other SPA frameworks, Type Script, Azure SQL, and experience with MVC patterns.
• Strong foundation in cloud platform architecture and Dev Ops lifecycle, including Azure Dev Ops and Git Hub.
• Fluency in BDD, TDD, and test automation practices using modern tools like Playwright.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder engagement skills, especially in cross-functional education technology teams.
• Work closely with Product and UX teams to deliver intuitive user experiences
• Experience designing and developing considering security, scalability, and educational accessibility standards.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and leadership skills.

• Experience in high-scale SaaS environments.
• 5–8+ years of software development experience; prior work in SaaS, edtech, or certification platforms is highly desirable.
• Proven track record of delivering complex, user-centric software systems in regulated environments.

• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
