Gemstone Diamond is Bayer’s global digital platform for managing clinical trial data management and electronic data capture, built on the Veeva Vault Clinical Data Management Suite. Gemstone Diamond is used to collect and manage data from investigational and observational studies, including study-related information collected after the clinical trials such as adverse events. Depending on the study protocol, device related information can also be stored.

Its a key system in the IT landscape for Clinical Development Operations. The platform is continuously evolving and plays a central role in Bayer’s digital transformation within Clinical Development Operations.

As Product Manager for Gemstone Diamond, Bayer’s global digital platform for managing clinical trial data, you will define the strategic vision for digital solutions that support clinical data management and electronic data capture. You’ll manage the product backlog and guide cross-functional teams including clinical, technical, and enabling functions toward delivering compliant, efficient, and user-centered solutions. Success in this role requires a strong understanding of clinical processes, regulatory requirements, and digital system architecture.

• Strategic Product Development:
  Collaborate with business stakeholders and the digital lead to drive the strategic development of Gemstone Diamond, ensuring that product enhancements align with business goals and user needs.
• Develop Project Plans and Resource Allocation:
  Create comprehensive project plans that outline key milestones, deliverables, and timelines. Ensure effective resource planning by aligning team members and other resources to project needs.
• Release Management:
  Oversee and maintain product release schedules, ensuring new features and updates are delivered on time and meet quality standards.
• Cutover Planning:
  Prepare and execute cutover plans to facilitate smooth transitions during major releases or system migrations, minimizing disruption to business operations.
• Team Coordination:
  Coordinate cross-functional product teams, providing clear direction and support to ensure all project members are aligned and working toward common objectives.
• Status Updates and Stakeholder Communication:
  Regularly provide project status updates and maintain open communication with stakeholders at all levels, including senior management, to ensure transparency and alignment.
• Cost Control and Budget Tracking:
  Monitor project budgets, track expenses, and implement cost-control measures to ensure projects are delivered within financial parameters.
• Conduct market and user analyses to identify opportunities for optimization.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders across all organizational levels, including senior management.

• Advanced experience (5+ years) as a product manager, with a proven track record of leading product initiatives and cross-functional teams within the life sciences industry.
• Demonstrating a deep understanding of Veeva solutions and clinical trial technology ecosystems. Ideally certified by related Veeva certfications
• Comprehensive expertise in Clinical Development processes or related domains in the pharmaceutical sector.
