Systems Admin Sr. Specialist Advisor

Position

System Admin Sr. Specialist Advisor (Senior mainframe DB2 support) – U.S. – Remote.

• Perform technical reviews of proposed changes to the NTT environment.
• Provide technical expertise during high severity incidents.
• Review Technical Support incidents on a regular basis for completeness and prevention.
• Provide thought leadership on in‑house improvements and review 3rd‑party recommendations.
• Participate in all Mainframe related projects (upgrades, migrations, etc.).
• Provide technical support to the NTT Security Team.
• Maintain BCDR documentation for the Mainframe platforms.

• Advanced problem determination skills.
• Mainframe processor and storage hardware knowledge.
• Mainframe disaster recovery expertise.
• Mainframe data backup/replication skills.
• Knowledgeable TCP/IP architecture and communications hardware.
• SMS pool setup and management experience.
• Experience with performance analysis and problem determination skills.
• In‑depth knowledge of systems architecture, internal processes, and interdependencies.
• Excellent customer‑facing skills (technical and layman’s level).
• Proficiency in supporting z/OS, JES2, CICS, or RACF is a plus.

• 10+ years relevant experience in mainframe DB2 systems software.
• Undergraduate/bachelor’s degree.
• Experience installing DB2 using SMP/E.
• Experience installing, customizing, testing, and maintaining DB2 and IBM/ISV program products.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
• Project management experience and leadership skills.
• Experience in DB2 performance and tuning.
