Data Center Construction - Senior Project Manager

Overview
The Senior Project Manager is responsible for leading and managing construction projects, delivering exceptional results for our clients. This executive‑level position requires identifying, proposing, closing, and managing projects and staff.

Location & Travel Details
You will travel across the United States, helping our team build infrastructure projects. This is a traveling position, up to 100% of the time. Potential project sites include NC, VA, GA, TX, FL, IA, WY. Average project duration is 6‑8 months. Eligible employees receive a daily per diem, relocation assistance, vehicle allowance, and a home‑rotation weekend per month.

Responsibilities
  • Develop solutions to ensure that issues never become problems; study bid specs carefully to identify potential issues before project commencement.
  • Build contingency plans proactively to mitigate potential risks, such as delays in critical‑path items.
  • Understand subcontractor scope and contracts; identify opportunities and risks.
  • Ensure every team member has a comprehensive business development plan to meet and exceed targets.
  • Attend interviews to close new business; represent the company at industry, social, and non‑profit events.
  • Build and sustain relationships with targeted clients, architects, engineers, owners, and the subcontractor community.
  • Recruit qualified subcontractors; track and procure new work through the subcontractor community.
  • Lead a team of Project Managers and Assistant Project Managers to deliver exceptional results.
  • Recruit high‑caliber personnel from outside sources and college campuses.
  • Manage multiple project teams while maximizing profit and client satisfaction.
  • Work with on‑site superintendents to deliver the highest quality and customer satisfaction.
  • Lead the pre‑construction/RFP package effort with the estimating department.
  • Collaborate with other Lemartec departments (accounting, marketing, business development, estimating).
  • Enforce the project quality control plan and ensure the punch list is completed to client satisfaction.
  • Submit project change orders to clients within standards.
  • Distribute meeting minutes within 24 hours of progress meetings.
  • Prepare, complete, and submit O&M manuals within 30 days of substantial completion.
  • Complete WIP reports within scheduled timeframe.
  • Ensure job processes follow company policy.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, or Construction; or 5 years of equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience as a project manager overseeing commercial and industrial projects.
  • Prior experience with data center projects required.
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities
  • Familiarity with local specifications, supplements, and blueprint reading.
  • Proficiency with planning, scheduling, and production tools (P6, Microsoft Project, or equivalent);
    Microsoft Office suite and estimating software.
  • Excellent organizational, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • High professionalism and strong work ethic.
  • Ability to multi‑task while staying focused on the big picture.
