Site Safety Manager – Lemartec Corporation, a Mas Tec Company
This position is responsible for promoting and ensuring site safety and has comprehensive knowledge for the day‑to‑day safety field operations for assigned project(s). The supervisor will plan, coordinate, and enforce safety regulations and codes while serving as the company’s point of contact for owners, subcontractors, regulatory agencies, and Lemartec teams for all safety‑related matters.
Provides safety and health training, accident prevention, and investigation for managers and supervisors. Works with management for annual safety overviews, conducts safety meetings, audits, and inspections to ensure compliance, evaluate performance, identify corrective actions, and implement follow‑up assessments. Plans, implements, and conducts preventative care, safety, and compliance training programs.
Location & TravelTravel across the US – up to 100% of the time. Projects may be located in NC, VA, GA, TX, FL, IA, WY. Average 6‑8 months per project. Eligible employees receive daily per diem, vehicle allowance, and relocation assistance. Travel home rotation is one weekend per month.
Responsibilities- Develop and conduct safety processes and training, including emergency response and new employee orientation.
- Develop, deliver, and maintain OSHA‑written management processes, including record‑keeping per local, state, and federal regulations.
- Perform daily site safety inspections; evaluate safety equipment and manage fall‑protection procedures.
- Schedule, submit, review, and accept Job Hazard Analysis.
- Maintain comprehensive Job Hazard Analysis program through tracking log.
- Report, investigate, and record accidents; perform root‑cause analysis.
- Ensure subcontractor compliance with safety and health requirements.
- Analyze statistical data on near‑misses, incidents, injuries, and illnesses.
- Prepare and submit weekly written safety reports.
- Implement corporate environmental policies in compliance with state and EPA regulations.
- Recommend and procure safety equipment.
- Participate in pre‑construction and work‑meeting safety discussions.
- Facilitate mass safety meetings and required weekly tailgate safety meetings.
- Record meeting minutes and maintain safety documentation.
- Coordinate substance‑abuse testing and medical clinic setup for new sites.
- Facilitate Lemartec’s return‑to‑work program.
- Bachelor’s Degree in occupational health or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
- OSHA 30 certification (minimum); CHST preferred or ability to obtain CHST within 6 months.
- Data‑center project experience preferred.
- Extensive knowledge of OSHA regulations, ANSI standards and applicable codes.
- Field‑level construction safety experience.
- Advanced safety/compliance certifications (CHST) or ability to obtain.
- Experience handling regulatory agencies, safety professionals, and legal representatives.
- Ability to manage safety in a dynamic, fast‑paced environment.
- Full understanding of local, state, and federal OSHA requirements.
- Excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and document control programs (e.g., Procore).
