Position Overview:

The Production Supervisor is responsible for supervising and coordinating activities of production workers in processing materials and manufacturing products. The supervisor interacts with Sanitation, Warehouse, Quality Assurance, Human Resources, and Operations staff to ensure the production of quality products in a timely manner.

Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and manage daily departmental activities.
  • Develop and analyze information for team members.
  • Provide supervision, assign tasks, and maintain schedules.
  • Mentor and lead production associates.
  • Ensure associates are trained and compliant with operational standards.
  • Assign duties based on daily needs.
  • Ensure quality standards and departmental metrics are met.
  • Communicate schedules, goals, and quality concerns across shifts.
  • Resolve personnel issues through data analysis and investigation.
  • Maintain professional knowledge through training.
  • Contribute to team efforts and maintain equipment and PPE safety.
  • Participate in safety investigations and audit SOPs.
  • Maintain cleanliness and attend training sessions.
Experience and Skills:

Minimum Requirements:

  • Training in food safety, quality, regulatory requirements, safety, and continuous improvement.
  • 3-5 years of supervisory experience in manufacturing/production.
  • Good work history and quick learner.
  • Intermediate computer skills, excellent communication skills.
  • Basic decision-making and problem-solving skills.
  • Bilingual Spanish is a plus.
  • Ability to meet physical demands of the environment.
  • High school diploma or GED, or 4-5 years related experience.

Food Safety & Quality Responsibilities:

  • Adhere to all Food Safety/Quality SOPs.
  • Accurately complete related records.
  • Report food safety or quality issues.
  • Attend all related training sessions.
