Position OverviewA well‑established mechanical contractor in Lubbock seeks an experienced Sheet Metal Shop Superintendent to oversee ductwork fabrication operations for commercial HVAC projects. This confidential full‑time opportunity combines leadership, technical skill, and hands‑on fabrication.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise the full sheet metal shop, including ductwork fabrication for HVAC systems.
- Inherit responsibilities from a long‑tenured employee with extensive shop knowledge.
- Perform maintenance and technical work on shop equipment and machinery.
- Participate in hands‑on sheet metal fabrication as needed.
- Manage shop staff, workflow, and production schedules to meet project demands.
- Maintain adherence to safety standards, quality control, and company procedures.
- Strong technical expertise in HVAC sheet metal fabrication.
- Proven experience managing shop operations and leading a team.
- Hands‑on experience with ductwork fabrication, equipment maintenance, and troubleshooting.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
- Ability to enforce high‑quality standards and efficient production workflows.
- Base salary $40,000 – $90,000, depending on experience.
