Job Description
7:30 AM to 3:30 PM, M-F with potential for OT and Saturday work.
Position Summary: Performs repetitive mechanical assembly involving sensitive or precise dexterous movements to maintain pace and quality of assembly work.
Core Responsibilities And Tasks:
- Follows all policies and guidelines regarding workplace safety and product quality.
- Successfully completes all site‑specific training regarding safety and quality.
- Receives components or items for assembly and/or test in programmed sequence.
- Assembles and/or tests mechanical or electrical components by means of sensitive hand and equipment coordination.
- May assemble minor variations of in‑house standard products.
- Follows clear assembly/test instructions, e.g. color code, PVC thermal welding and thread taping. Uses simple hand or power tools along with uncomplicated jigs and fixtures.
- Enter work hours in ERP system (Currently SAP), if applicable to site.
- Completes required documentation related to production.
- Drives continuous improvement process and conducts daily housekeeping/5S audits to ensure continuous improvement activities.
- Reads and understands simple layout and assembly drawings.
- Maintains equipment and area in clean safe condition.
- Take care of internal and external customer needs and expectations.
Position Requirements -Formal
Education Required:
High School Diploma or GED.
Knowledge & Experience
Required:
Mechanical aptitude as evidenced by work experience, high school/tech school coursework, hobbies, etc.
Physical Requirements: Must be able to sit, stand, hear, and see on a constant basis; must be able to walk, write, and type on a frequent basis; must be able to lift and carry up to 30 pounds; must be able to climb and descend stairs; must be able to bend, carry, reach, push, and pull on an occasional basis; must be able to communicate verbally and in writing;
may work indoors and outdoors as needed; exposure to heat up to 120°F and cold to 0°F; may work in areas where noise level is such that hearing protection is required; may be exposed to varying amounts of dust and dirt; work surfaces may include concrete; employee must be able to operate a computer and communicate via telephone.
