Position: Director of Nursing

ResponsibilitiesThe Director of Nursing is responsible for the administration of nursing services in the center. Key duties include:
- Directing, planning, and coordinating service activities of nursing personnel to ensure quality customer care.
- Interpreting and ensuring compliance with center policies and regulations.
- Analyzing and evaluating nursing services to improve quality and staff utilization.
- Providing inservice training programs for nursing staff.
- Developing and implementing nursing philosophy, objectives, policies, and standards.
- Monitoring nursing care to ensure respectful and fair treatment of customers.
- Maintaining policies, procedures, and quality assurance programs.
- Performing daily rounds and reviewing nursing notes.
- Collaborating on budget development and control for nursing services.
- Maintaining relationships with community, customers, families, and physicians.
- Serving as liaison between medical staff and nursing services.
- Providing direction through policies, meetings, and memos.
- Participating in committee work and customer assessments.
- Overseeing infection control procedures and staff training.
- Recommending and managing nursing care equipment and supplies.
- Ensuring timely communication of health changes to physicians and families.
- Implementing and reviewing Care Plans.
- Coordinating nursing with other departments and services.
- Ensuring adherence to physician orders and documentation of incidents.
- Determining staffing needs and managing schedules.
- Recruiting, hiring, and evaluating staff performance.
- Ensuring safety and compliance with legal and health regulations.
- Prioritizing customer service and high-quality care.
Must possess a current TX RN license.
Ideal CandidateMinimum of 5 years nursing experience in SNF setting, including at least 3 years in management.
