Job SummarySupport plasma center operations as a Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse). Provide high‑quality customer service while ensuring donor eligibility, safety, and regulatory compliance. Report to the Plasma Center Manager.
LocationUSA – TX – Lubbock
Responsibilities- Determine donor eligibility, including informed consent, AIDS education, self‑exclusion, medical history interview, acceptance requirements, physical examination, and blood testing.
- Review laboratory test results and notify donors of unsuitable results.
- Manage donor adverse events and evaluate donor reactions in accordance with SOPs.
- Follow SOPs for medical emergencies, develop standing orders, and transport donors to emergency care facilities.
- Refer to the Center Physician or Medical Affairs when medical or technical guidance is needed.
- Support employee Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu vaccination programs.
- Manage employee incidents and determine further evaluation by occupational health or ER.
- Act as a Pandemic Coordinator when authorized by EHS and support investigations of local pandemic threats.
- High school diploma or equivalent, or a recognized educational nursing program with state requirements.
- Current licensed or certified LPN or LVN in the state where responsibilities are assigned.
- Current CPR and AED certification.
- State‑required basic IV therapy competency.
- Completion of FDA‑approved training for Bio Life Medical Support Specialist.
- Two years of experience in a clinical or hospital setting.
Hourly Wage Range: $22.69 – $31.20. Compensation may vary based on qualifications, experience, skills, and location. U.S. employees may be eligible for short‑term incentives and a comprehensive benefits package, including medical/dental, vision, 401(k) with company match, short‑term and long‑term disability, basic life insurance, tuition reimbursement, paid volunteer time, holidays, and well‑being benefits. Paid sick time up to 80 hours per calendar year and paid vacation up to 120 hours for new hires.
