American Traveler is hiring an experienced ICU RN for a Level II Trauma Center requiring at least 1 year of ICU experience and a TX or compact RN license.
Details- Work in the ICU of a Level II Trauma Center with 379 staffed beds
- Patient ratios of 1:2 to 1:3
- Day shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
- Block scheduling required, approved based on unit need
- Floating between units required
- Weekend requirement of a minimum of 6 shifts within a 6-week period
- No on-call responsibilities
- Epic EMR experience required
- Active TX or compact RN license required in hand at time of submission
- Minimum 1 year of ICU experience required
- Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
- Preferred certification: OCN
- Epic charting system experience required
- Skills in IV therapy, central line care, PICC line management, arterial line management, and blood product administration
- Experience with ventilator management, ABG interpretation, and respiratory failure care
- Experience managing renal, neurological, and cardiovascular ICU patients preferred
- Two supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years required
- Full SSN and DOB required for consideration
- Provide critical care nursing to ICU patients including CVICU, Neuro ICU, Surgical ICU, and Trauma ICU populations as needed
- Travelers may be expected to float between sister facilities near the contracted location
- Teaching hospital, community hospital, and Trauma Level I/II experience preferred
- Dress code requires solid navy blue uniforms or scrub attire for licensed nursing staff
- Free employee parking available in designated surface lots
- Must commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
- RTO requests must be submitted upfront; limited flexibility once contract begins
- Local candidates accepted at a lower bill rate within a 50-mile radius
- Previous Providence employees must wait at least 3 months before returning as travelers and must reside outside a 50-mile radius
