American Traveler is hiring a Pediatrics RN for a children's hospital setting, requiring TX or compact RN licensure and at least 1 year of pediatric experience, with first-time travelers welcome.

• Pediatric Med Surg unit within a Children's Hospital and Level II Pediatric Trauma Center
• Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM)
• Patient ratios of 1:3-5
• Floating required between units and may include sister facilities
• On-call required based on unit census
• Weekend requirement of 5 shifts per 6-week period
• Uses Epic EMR

• Active TX or compact RN license required, must be in hand at time of submission
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience required
• BLS and PALS certifications required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Pediatric experience preferred
• Teaching hospital experience preferred
• Experience with respiratory care including BiPAP/CPAP management and oxygen delivery systems
• Experience with GI care including feedings (bottle, breast, gavage) and breastfeeding support
• Experience with IV therapy/phlebotomy and central/implanted line care
• Experience managing hyperbilirubinemia
• Experience with interpretation and management of cardiac dysrhythmias
• Experience with isolation precautions and PPE
• 2 professional references covering at least 1 year of employment within the last 3 years, from supervisory roles such as Charge RNs or Leads

• Provide direct patient care to pediatric patients in a Med Surg setting
• Must disclose any prior work history at a Providence facility (permanent, travel, or per-diem), including location and dates if applicable
• Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility
• Local candidates accepted at a lower bill rate within a 50-mile radius
• Holiday commitment required for at least 3 of the following 5 holidays:
  Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day
• RTO requests must be submitted upfront during the application process; post-offer requests may not be accommodated
• Scrub color required:
  Navy for RNs
