Job DescriptionAs a Part‑Time Oil Change Greeter, you will greet customers, understand their needs, guide vehicles, perform basic services, and maintain shop presentation, supporting the service team.
Key Responsibilities- Welcome each customer with a smile, a warm greeting, and a complimentary bottle of water.
- Engage customers while they remain in their vehicles to identify the reason for their visit and qualify their service needs.
- Communicate a clear understanding of shop services, educating customers in a positive, approachable way that enhances their experience.
- Safely guide vehicles into service bays with clear direction and attention to detail.
- Checking and adjusting tire air pressure.
- Washing customer windshields.
- Gathering basic customer information (name, contact, vehicle details).
- Conducting a brief visual review of the vehicle’s current condition.
- Set up and operate oil evaluator machines to assist in service recommendations.
- Proactively greet approaching vehicles to draw them into open service bays and encourage same‑visit service.
- Water for customers is stocked and cold.
- Windshield washing buckets are filled with clean water and solution.
- General cleanliness and readiness of the customer‑facing areas.
- Support the service team with additional shop duties as needed.
- Friendly, approachable, and professional demeanor with a genuine desire to help others.
- Strong verbal communication skills; comfortable engaging with customers in a fast‑paced environment.
- A positive attitude with the ability to make customers feel welcome and valued.
- Basic knowledge of (or willingness to learn about) automotive services and shop processes.
- Ability to multitask, stay organized, and remain attentive to detail.
- Dependable, punctual, and able to work collaboratively with the service team.
- Comfortable standing, walking, and working outdoors for extended periods.
