Position Summary

Full-Time Retail Sales Associate to join our Team! Pay: $12.00 to $15.00 per hour. Earn commission on transactions; up to 8% on transactions, potentially adding about $2.23 per hour on top of hourly rate.

We are seeking entry-level, full-time sales associates in our pawn store locations nationwide. The Pawnbroker / Retail Sales Associate partners with the entire staff to ensure customer service on both the lending and retail sides. Greets, engages, and interacts with customers to process sales, loans, and other transactions; resolves inquiries and provides problem resolution. Works with a wide variety of jewelry and general merchandise, including tools, electronics, firearms (in FFL locations), and more.

The Full-Time Pawnbroker / Retail Sales Associate earns hourly wage plus commission based on productivity. Pay varies by location, qualifications, and experience.

• Greets and interacts with customers to develop rapport and provide appropriate financial solutions.
• Performs non-management open/close procedures.
• Keeps the sales floor clean, stocked, and maintains displays.
• Performs sales and loan transactions in accordance with policies, procedures, practices, and regulatory requirements.
• Handles cash and negotiable items per policies and regulations.
• Answers incoming calls per company standards.
• Effectively communicates the legal aspects of pawn and buy transactions to customers.
• Communicates effectively with coworkers and managers, showing respect and using effective tools.
• Partners with all employees to create a positive customer experience.
• Completes required training successfully.
• Other related duties as assigned.

• Must be willing and able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
• Must be willing and able to stand, walk, and perform duties for extended periods, including bending and lifting, per applicable laws.
• Ability to work with firearms and to become firearms certified.
• May assist customers outside the building or retrieve products in exterior storage areas.
• Minimum Age: 18 years old.
• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
• Strong desire to work, serve customers, and be team-oriented.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to perform basic math calculations proficiently.
• Cash handling experience is preferred.
• Should be able to work in multiple locations as needed.
• Must have flexible retail schedule including weekends and holidays.
• Computer literate and able to operate POS systems and common office machines.

The employee commission incentive plan is proprietary to First Cash. Pawnbrokers can earn 2-8% commission based on gross profit of personal performance. Details provided during interview.
