Security Officer – Hobbs, NM

Under general supervision, patrols assigned areas of the CHS campus to deter, detect and investigate crime and/or any suspicious activity which could cause harm to individuals or property. Provides information and assistance to patients, employees and visitors. Writes detailed incident reports and various other reports as required. Takes and maintains control of disruptive individuals for arrest by Lubbock Police Department when situations warrant this action.

Primary emphasis is placed on safety and loss prevention. Will carry Department issued handcuffs and a non‑lethal device at all times while on duty.

• Within 30 days of hire, Texas Non‑Commissioned Security Officer - Texas Private Security Board - Texas Department of Public Safety.
• Driving may be necessary as part of this role. Must provide proof of driver license and auto insurance upon request.
• 1 or more years of experience in Security, Law Enforcement, Military, or Police experience, preferably within a hospital or campus environment.
• Combined experience may include Security Guard, Security Officer, Law Enforcement (Police Officer), Military Corrections Officer, Bouncer, Loss Prevention Specialist, Security – Concierge.
