Equipment Mechanic – Lubbock, TX

Maintenance, construction, installation, repair or retrofitting of facilities and systems. This role requires a multi‑skilled mechanic who can work effectively in a team environment.

Responsibilities
  • Operate all utility systems within allowable tolerances and in compliance with applicable federal, state and local codes, statutes and regulations.
  • Complete operating logs, reports and records as required by agencies and the company.
  • Inspect and maintain all utility systems and equipment on the plant.
  • Maintain and repair all HVAC systems and components.
  • Inspect, install, relocate, modify, maintain and repair other equipment and systems as necessary, coordinating with other departments.
  • Test electrical systems and backup utilities.
  • Implement and maintain energy management and conservation programs.
  • Calibrate critical components and ensure all equipment is kept in good repair.
Current Skills / Competencies
  • Working knowledge and experience of basic electrical systems.
  • Working knowledge and experience of basic mechanical & plumbing systems.
  • Working knowledge and experience of basic pneumatic systems and pneumatic controls.
  • Ability to solve problems, develop solutions & make decisions in a team environment.
  • Good problem‑solving & decision‑making skills.
  • Good computer skills, with a basic understanding of Microsoft Excel & Word;
    Access a plus.
  • Good verbal & written communication skills.
  • Proven individual contributor, team worker & self‑starter.
  • Flexibility—work schedules may vary between regular, day & night shifts.
Minimum Requirements
  • High School Diploma or G.E.D. or equivalent experience with trade certification.
  • Professional certification is preferred, but not required.
