Facilities Equipment Maintenance Mechanic

Lubbock (TX), USA

Job Description

Maintenance, installation, or retrofitting of facilities and wafer fab support systems. Ability to be multi-skilled and work in a team environment.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure proper operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on engines, motors, pneumatic tools.
  • Follow diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications.
  • Troubleshoot malfunctions and maintain electrical control devices (Variable Frequency Drives).
  • Locate sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation, listening for problems; using precision measuring and testing instruments.
  • Control downtime by informing production workers of routine preventive maintenance techniques and monitoring compliance.
  • Maintain continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.
  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Minimum Requirements
  • High School Diploma or G.E.D, or equivalent experience with trade certification and basic safety and power tools knowledge. 2+ years of similar work experience preferred.
