Welder

The Welder will perform various welding tasks on Primoris Services Corporation projects throughout Texas, ensuring structural integrity and adherence to safety standards.

• Perform welding duties using various processes (e.g., SMAW, GTAW, GMAW, FCAW) on different materials, primarily steel.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and welding procedure specifications (WPS).
• Cut and prepare metal components for welding using various tools, including torches, grinders, and saws.
• Inspect welds for quality, defects, and compliance with specifications and industry codes (e.g., AWS, ASME).
• Operate and maintain welding equipment, ensuring proper functionality and safety.
• Follow all company safety procedures and regulations, including wearing appropriate PPE.
• Collaborate with project managers, supervisors, and other trades to ensure efficient project execution.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Troubleshoot welding issues and perform minor repairs on equipment as needed.
• Adhere to project schedules and deadlines.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proven experience as a Welder, preferably in construction, infrastructure, or industrial settings.
• Valid welding certifications (e.g., AWS D1.1, D1.5) are highly preferred.
• Proficient in various welding techniques, including stick (SMAW), TIG (GTAW), MIG (GMAW), and flux-cored (FCAW).
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and welding symbols.
• Strong understanding of welding safety practices and procedures.
• Physical ability to lift heavy objects, work in various weather conditions, and stand for extended periods.
• Excellent hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Must possess a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Willingness to travel to various project sites within Texas.
