Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable Warehouse/Driver to join our team at our location in Lubbock, TX. The Warehouse/Driver will be responsible for safely and efficiently transporting goods to and from our warehouse, as well as assisting with general warehouse duties. The role involves operating a commercial vehicle to transport and deliver heating and air conditioning products, parts, and other materials to customers or Insco locations.
Additionally, the Warehouse/Driver will perform warehouse and counter sales duties at the branch.
- Responsibly transports and loads/unloads items to a customer’s job site, place of business, or other assigned destination.
- Build strong relationships with customers to ensure outstanding customer experience.
- Inspect truck pre‑ and post‑trip to ensure all gear, including emergency, mechanical, and safety equipment, is in working order.
- Perform required minor maintenance and keep the vehicle clean.
- Obtain and maintain necessary documentation such as proof of delivery/pick‑up, driver logs, truck condition forms, and maintenance logs.
- Collect/pick up empty containers or rejected/unsold merchandise.
- Assist with branch operations such as receiving and processing incoming stock and materials, picking and filling orders from stock, packing and shipping orders, and managing, organizing, and retrieving stock, including cycle counts and inventory.
- Support the branch with counter sales.
- Perform other duties as requested, directed, or assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalency.
- Valid driver’s license with a satisfactory MVR.
- Valid forklift certification.
- At least one year of experience or a driver certificate from a driver training school.
- Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, bend, twist, reach, stretch, push, pull, and lift items that may weigh up to 75 pounds. Must be able to talk, hear, read, and identify numbers for accurate order filling and material receipt, as well as payment processing.
- Must be able to pass a DOT physical, drug test, MVR, TXDOT hazmat test with endorsements, and background check.
