SummaryAs a CDL Driver, you will play a crucial role at RNDC by ensuring the timely and safe delivery of products to our customers while maintaining a high level of professionalism and customer service. You will also have the opportunity to collect non‑cash payments as necessary, contributing to the financial transactions associated with the deliveries.
In this role, you will- Properly conduct pre‑ and post‑trip inspections, notating any vehicle defects, and abiding by the DOT hours‑of‑service rules and regulations for your license type.
- Have the potential for dedicated overnight routes.
- Accurately deliver invoiced products by bottle, case, pallet, or hand‑stack from the delivery truck and placing said merchandise into customer accounts.
- Verify receipt of correct orders with the customer by checking product type and size against the provided invoice, obtaining customer signature and payment if necessary, for goods received.
- Ensure physical security of the truck at all times.
- Deliver to approximately 19 accounts daily, with the possibility of up to 30 accounts during times of increased activity.
- Cover approximately 160 miles daily, occasionally increasing to 200–300 miles during peak activity or out‑of‑town routes.
- Possibility to work with one or more helpers.
- Provide feedback to transportation management regarding route changes or concerns.
- Utilize a smartphone for interaction with hours‑of‑service software and/or driver monitoring programs.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Preferably two years of delivery experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Regularly lift up to 50 pounds and occasionally up to 100 pounds.
- Current Class B CDL driver's license (Class A CDL also allowed and may be required for positions based on location); ability to meet company vehicle insurance requirements.
- Valid DOT medical certification card and filing with state Motor Vehicle Department.
