Student Counselor

Job Overview We are looking for a confident and empathetic  Student Counselor  to guide college students in choosing the right  internship and training programs  offered by our institute. The role focuses on understanding students’ career goals, counseling them on suitable programs, and converting inquiries into enrollments while maintaining high ethical and service standards.

Key Responsibilities  Counsel college students about available internship and training programs
Understand students’ academic background, career goals, and skill gaps
Recommend suitable programs aligned with industry and career outcomes
Handle student inquiries via calls, messages, walk-ins, and online platforms
Explain program details, curriculum, duration, fees, and certification
Follow up with interested students and manage the enrollment pipeline
Maintain accurate records of leads, counseling sessions, and conversions
Coordinate with academic and marketing teams for student onboarding
Participate in college visits, seminars, and career guidance sessions
Required

Skills & Qualifications  Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to counsel, persuade, and build trust with students and parents
Basic understanding of internships, training programs, and career paths
Goal-oriented mindset with the ability to meet enrollment targets
Comfortable with calling, follow-ups, and CRM tools
Positive attitude, empathy, and professional ethics
Preferred / Good-to-Have Skills  Prior experience in education counseling, admissions, or sales
Experience working with colleges, students, or training institutes
Knowledge of IT, software, or skill-based training programs
Ability to conduct presentations or group counseling sessions
Experience  0–2 years (Freshers with good communication skills are welcome)
