Research Publication Advisor

Role Overview

Uni Visory Global Education supports  high-performing high school students  conducting original research  under formal supervision of university mentors  (PhD/Post-Doc/Faculty). We are seeking a  Research Publication Advisor  to manage the  academic publishing workflow  for these completed manuscripts.
This role is  strictly limited to publication execution and strategy . Research design, analysis, and writing are completed by the student–mentor teams. Your responsibility is to  identify appropriate peer-reviewed journals , manage submissions, and coordinate the peer-review and revision process—while maintaining  strict academic ethics and transparency .

Core Responsibilities

● Evaluate completed manuscripts for  journal readiness and scope fit

● Identify and recommend  appropriate but top 100 peer-reviewed journals :

○      Scopus / Web of Science/ IEEE indexed

○      Suitable for early-career or interdisciplinary research

○      Realistic acceptance probability vs. timeline optimization

● Build  journal tiering strategies  (primary + fallback journals)

● Manage  end-to-end manuscript submission :

○      Journal formatting and compliance

○      Cover letters and submission portals

○      Authorship, disclosures, and ethical declarations

● Coordinate  peer-review communication :

○      Track editorial decisions and reviewer feedback

○      Organize and translate comments into structured revision plans

○      Manage timely resubmissions with student–mentor teams

● Maintain  publication tracking dashboards  (status, timelines, outcomes)

● Ensure adherence to  ethical publishing standards  for student authorship

Required Qualifications

● Proven experience with  peer-reviewed journal submissions  (Scopus/ Web of Science/IEEE/top 100 journals)

● Strong understanding of:

○      Editorial decision processes

○      Desk rejection vs. revise-and-resubmit criteria

○      Journal scope alignment and positioning

● Prior experience as an:

○      Academic author, OR

○      Journal editorial assistant / manager, OR

○      Research publication consultant

● Comfortable working with  student-authored research under academic supervision

● Extremely high attention to detail and process ownership

Preferred Experience

● Experience handling submissions to  top-tier or top-150 global journals

● Familiarity with journals that accept:

○      Early-career researchers

○      Interdisciplinary or applied research

● Experience coordinating  multi-round revisions

Prior work with undergraduate or pre-college research programs
