Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented IT Executive to join our team in Mohali. The ideal candidate will bring hands-on experience with firewall appliances, Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI), firewall management, and a solid foundation in Information Security practices. This role involves managing day-to-day IT operations, supporting infrastructure, and ensuring a secure, stable, and high-performance IT environment across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
Provide technical support and troubleshooting for hardware, software, and network-related issues.
Deploy, configure, and maintain firewall appliances for secure and large-scale data transfers.
Administer and support VDI platforms (e.g., Citrix, VMware Horizon, Microsoft AVD), ensuring high availability and performance.
Manage and configure firewalls, including but not limited to Juniper, Fortinet, and pf Sense.
Implement and monitor information security protocols to protect systems and data.
Maintain and support servers, networking equipment, and backup systems.
Respond to and resolve IT issues across departments in a timely and professional manner.
Monitor system logs and performance metrics; take corrective action as needed.
Ensure compliance with internal IT policies and external regulatory standards.
Coordinate with vendors and third-party service providers for issue resolution and project execution.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation for IT systems, procedures, and troubleshooting.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
2–4 years of experience in an IT support or systems administration role.
Hands-on experience with firewall appliances (e.g., Juniper, Fortinet, pf Sense, or similar).
Experience managing and troubleshooting VDI platforms (Citrix, VMware Horizon, Microsoft AVD).
Practical experience in managing firewalls, including Juniper, Fortinet, and pf Sense.
Solid understanding of Information Security best practices and tools.
Strong knowledge of networking concepts: TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, firewalls.
Experience with both Windows and Linux server environments.
Excellent problem-solving ability and keen attention to detail.
