What skills and experience we're looking for The College is looking to appoint a Head of Subject to lead English.
This would be for a January 2027 start, but earlier is possible if the candidate is available.
The ideal candidate will be an outstanding teacher and be able to demonstrate the ability to lead by example and show they have had a positive impact on student outcomes within English.
You may also have either the experience or potential to lead developments across other subject areas.
School PerformanceIn 2025 our overall Attainment 8 score was 4. 4. Students studying English Language achieved 60% grade 4 and above;
English Literature achieved 53% grade 4 or above;
Media Studies achieved 51% grade 4 and above.
This is an opportunity for the right candidate to have a significant impact on the structure and delivery of the English curriculum at The College.
