    Fixed rolling rota including weekends Join Our Caring Team at Alexandra House We are looking for a compassionate and reliable Care Assistant to join our friendly team at Alexandra House Care Home, supporting residents in a warm, person-centred environment where dignity, respect and independence are always prioritised.

About Alexandra House Alexandra House is a registered residential care home in Ludlow, Shropshire.

Originally opened in 1987 as a family-run home, Alexandra House became part of My Choice Healthcare in July 2024. The home provides 24-hour care and support for adults aged 65, delivered by a dedicated and fully trained team.

We support individuals with:
Dementia care needs Physical disabilities Sensory impairments Respite care requirements Our home has 20 bedrooms, creating a calm, homely environment where staff can build genuine relationships with residents.

Working Pattern This role follows a two-week rolling rota:
Week 1 Wednesday: 08:00 - 15:00 Thursday: 08:00 - 15:00 Saturday: 08:00 - 15:00 Sunday: 15:00 - 22:00 Week 2 Tuesday: 08:00 - 15:00 Wednesday: 08:00 - 15:00 Thursday: 08:00 - 15:00 Friday: 15:00 - 22:00 Your Responsibilities Supporting residents with personal care including washing, dressing, and toileting Assisting with mobility and promoting independence Supporting meals, hydration, and daily routines Providing companionship and emotional reassurance Monitoring wellbeing and reporting concerns promptly Maintaining high standards of hygiene, safety, and infection control What We’re Looking For

Caring, patient and respectful approach

Care Certificate (essential)

Previous experience in a care setting preferred

NVQ/QCF Level 2 in Health & Social Care desirable (or willingness to work towards)

Reliable and able to work as part of a team
