Overview

We are currently recruiting for a Metering Technician in the LE67 postcode area. We’re Severn Trent and we think water is wonderful. We’re pretty keen on people, too. EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW

Metering Technician role in our Field team, focused on activities such as gathering meter readings and water efficiency checks. You’ll be out and about in our communities and will need to speak confidently to customers and guide them if any technical issues arise.

You’ll need to be a good team player and share the ethos of working in the best team environment. A full UK Driving License is required. This is an outdoor role, working in all weathers, with set shifts and no weekends.

Working pattern
:
Monday, Wednesday and Friday 8:00am – 16:00pm;
Tuesday and Thursday 8:00am – 15:45pm.

We’re looking for someone who is proactive, has the right attitude to work on site most of the time, and who wants to be part of something bigger because they care.

What you’ll bring to the role
  • Strong interpersonal, negotiating and influencing skills
  • Ability to plan, prioritise and resolve work effectively
  • Ability to work in a demanding target-driven environment as part of a remote-based team
  • Confidence to review and discuss work carried out by contract partners and challenge quality where required
  • Ability to manage jobs through to completion, share learnings with the team and handle customer escalations and complaints where required
  • Proactive attitude and willingness to work on site in all weathers
