Lead Physician Assistant (PA) at Convenient
MD’s urgent care clinic. You will provide exceptional patient care, serve as the clinical leader for all staff, and mentor new‑graduate providers and allied health professionals.
- Provide patient‑centered care: conduct health assessments, perform physical exams, review and document medical histories, order and interpret diagnostics, perform therapeutic procedures (injections, sutures, wound care), and educate patients on health management.
- Document and comply: prepare accurate medical records, electronically sign office notes using the EMR, maintain a safe environment, follow infection‑control policies, and stay current with legal and professional requirements.
- Collaborate with team: work proactively with other providers and health‑care practitioners to treat patients efficiently and plan coordinated dispositions, including transfers.
- Continuing education & mentorship: act as a clinic leader when the Practice Manager is not on‑site, mentor new‑grad providers and other staff, attend educational workshops, review professional publications, and participate in professional societies.
- Education and licensure:
Master’s degree in PA, certification by a PA certifying body, valid DEA license with no restrictions, BLS certification (AHA or ACR). CPR, ACLS, or online‐only BLS courses are not accepted. - Clinical experience: preference for emergency medicine, urgent care, or ambulatory care settings.
- Leadership and teamwork: willingness and ability to mentor providers and non‑provider clinic staff, strong communication skills, proactive and confident, compassion and authenticity towards patients.
- Technical proficiency: proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and clinical management systems (EMR).
- Knowledge: principles of customer and personal services, HIPAA, OSHA, federal, state, and local regulations, drug pharmacology, non‑pharmaceutical patient aids, and current medical evaluation and treatment procedures.
Hourly pay range: $68 – $85 USD. Final compensation is determined after the interview process.
