Position: Physician / Gastroenterology / Texas / Locum tenens / Inpatient GI locums in East Texas. ERCP required. Job
Facility in Lufkin Tx, seeking GI locums coverage

Pay rates: 4000/day with 4h gratis included.$475/hr Call-back after 4 hours.

Orientation $250/hr (typically 4-8 hour long)
Opportunity Highlights

Schedule:

24-hour call shifts (7a7a).Setting:
Inpatient only; no outpatient clinic work.

Patient Load:
Rounding on up to 10 patients per day plus procedures as generated.

Support:
Hospitalists handle all admissions; you will have support from endoscopy-trained GI nursing staff.

Anesthesia:
Anesthesia backup is available on-site, though conscious sedation is preferred when possible.

EMR:
Currently using Paragon; transitioning to EPIC later in 2026.Procedures & Clinical Scope Required Procedures:
Standard GI procedures (Endoscopies/Colonoscopies) and ERCP Proficiency.

Clinical Focus: GI bleeds, abdominal pain, SBO, food bolus, ulcerations, gastritis, and initial carcinoma diagnosis.

Provider Requirements Board Status:
Board Certified (Highly Preferred) or Board Eligible.

Education:

Completion of a Gastroenterology Residency/Fellowship (Required).Licensure:
Active Texas (TX) State License (Required).Certification:
Active ACLS (Required).Background:
Clean malpractice and no medical board disciplines (Highly Preferred). Emergency privileges may be granted for providers with a clean file.
