L&D Nurse PRN

Apply for this Labor & Delivery Nurse position at Memorial‑Lufkin, part of Common Spirit Health (formerly CHI and Dignity Health). You will guide patients through the labor and childbirth process, focusing on the safety of the mother and baby with kindness and compassion.

• Triage walk‑ins to determine if a patient is in labor, water is broken, false alarm, etc.
• Support pregnant patients in labor including induction, epidural assistance (if needed), general pain management and fetal monitoring.
• Assist and circulate in the operating room for cesarean sections, tubal ligation, cerclage and emergency procedures.
• Educate patients on various interventions or procedures – medications (name and purpose), exams, and labor stages.
• Assess newborn and provide care.
• Communicate with the care management team, including anesthesiologist, physician or midwife, lactation nurse, charge nurse, postpartum unit, patient and family.

• One (1) Year Of Experience in Labor and Delivery
• Associate's Degree in Nursing
• Active Texas RN License in good standing with the Texas State Board of Nursing
• Certifications:
  
  Basic Life Support (BLS AHA) and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)

$42.00 - $42.00 /hour
