Emergency Room (ER) Nurse in an acute care facility is responsible for providing critical care to patients with traumas, strokes, sepsis, congestive heart failure, and cardiac conditions. This role involves managing a diverse patient population, including trauma and stroke cases, within a fast-paced environment that requires collaboration with physicians, mid-level providers, and support staff.

• Certifications:
  
  ACLS, BLS, ENPC or PALS, TNCC;
  
  Education:
  
  RN license;
  Location Requirements:
  Candidates must hold a valid RN license;
  Experience Requirements:
  Minimum of 2 years of ER experience; no minimum experience requirement is listed.
• Schedule:
  
  12-hour shifts, rotating schedule, 48 hours per week, with shifts from 3p - 3a or 7p - 7a, including weekends and holidays as needed.
• Responsibilities include managing ER patients, performing assessments, stabilizing critical patients, and collaborating with the emergency care team.
• Additional Unit Information:
  The ER handles approximately 80-90 patients per day, with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4, and features separate triage and holding areas.
• Equipment and technology used include Vents, Cpap, BiPap, High Flow devices, and ECG monitoring.
• The ER is equipped with in-house security, and staff will undergo unit-specific orientation.
• Participation in self-scheduling is available, with no call or standby requirements.
