Waiter​/Waitress; Part Time

Unidine is hiring immediately for a part-time WAITER/WAITRESS position at Pine Crest Retirement Community (1302 Tom Temple Drive, Lufkin, TX 75904).

Location: Pine Crest Retirement Community – 1302 Tom Temple Drive, Lufkin, TX 75904
Schedule: Part‑time; days and hours may vary (weekdays, weekends, holidays).
Requirement: Prior server and senior living experience preferred.

Pay Rate: $13.00 per hour.

Takes food and beverage orders and efficiently delivers items to dining room guests.

• Promptly and warmly greet guests in the dining room; take food and beverages in an efficient manner following established steps of service.
• Deliver food promptly and professionally; maintain safe food handling and sanitation standards and follow up to assist with any additional needs or requests.
• Demonstrate complete understanding of menu items and ingredients; advise guests on appropriate combinations of food and drinks when requested and accommodate reasonable requests and notes preferences.
• Communicate directly with back‑of‑the‑house staff to ensure orders are delivered correctly and special requests are accommodated.
• Exhibit exceptional communication skills and ability to get along well with others; remain flexible and patient when communicating with guests and staff.
• Collect tickets and follow proper cash‑handling procedures.
• Promote a clean, safe, and neat environment for guests.
• Maintain a high level of sensitivity and confidentiality regarding personal or medical information that is shared.
• Promptly address complaints or issues and relay relevant information or complaints directly to supervisor.
• Ensure that the dining room is properly set up prior to and after the service period; keep area clean and neat while meeting established sanitation standards.
• Operate a variety of equipment, including fire extinguishers, telephones, iced tea/soda machines, soup wells and coffee machines.
• Work with staff of other departments to perform job duties during special events and functions.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
