A Body Shop Technician will repair or replace damaged body parts so that the vehicle returns to pre-accident condition with factory and dealership specifications. Quality repair must meet or exceed the original factory fit and finish, resulting in an invisible repair.

Responsibilities- Review each repair order, work order, and estimator’s notes to understand repairs needed before beginning work on the vehicle.
- Complete all repairs according to the documentation on the repair order or the supplement.
- Demonstrate knowledge of the manufacturer’s and technical repair processes.
- Use frame and measuring equipment per vendor procedures.
- Perform initial teardown of vehicle.
- Identify parts for cut-in and edging.
- Execute all repair procedures according to factory specifications and company policy, following I-Car Standards.
- Perform and sign off on all quality checks before sending the vehicle to the paint department.
- Re‑assemble painted vehicle and painted parts.
- Conduct a final quality check and review of the work order before sending the vehicle to the detail department.
- Mentor apprentices or less skilled technicians in developing repair skills.

- High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
- Minimum 3 years of body shop experience.
- ICAR Welding Certificate.
- Valid driver’s license and insurability.
