Job Description & How to Apply Below
Our organization is launching a strategic initiative to migrate its data infrastructure from an on-premise Oracle Database environment to Google Cloud Platform (GCP). The project involves consolidating legacy data warehouses, re-architecting ETL/ELT pipelines, and adopting cloud-native services such as Big Query, Cloud Storage, and Dataflow.
The selected Data Analyst will be a key contributor across every phase of the migration lifecycle: from as‑is data analysis of source systems, through post‑migration validation, to supporting business teams in their transition to new cloud‑based analytics tools.
Key ResponsibilitiesData Analysis & Mapping
- Inventory and document Oracle source data (schemas, tables, stored procedures, views)
- Perform data profiling to identify anomalies, duplicates, and inconsistencies
- Define logical data mappings from Oracle to Big Query for each data domain
- Collaborate with data engineers on the definition of transformation rules
Validation & Quality Assurance
- Design and implement data reconciliation tests for pre- and post-migration phases
- Develop SQL / Big Query SQL queries to compare source and target datasets
- Produce data quality reports covering completeness, accuracy, and consistency metrics
- Log and track data anomalies using issue-tracking tools
Migration Support
- Actively participate in sprint planning and stand-ups with technical and business teams
- Support the migration of legacy reports into GCP-native tools (Looker, Looker Studio)
- Contribute to the definition of data governance standards and cloud best practices
- Document data transformation processes for knowledge transfer purposes
- Strong analytical mindset and attention to detail
- Ability to communicate complex data findings to non-technical stakeholders
- Operational autonomy and a proactive approach to problem‑solving
- Good time management in multi-task and project-driven environments
- Team player: comfortable working in cross-functional IT/Business teams
- Flexibility and adaptability in contexts of technological change
- Proficient English (written and spoken, minimum B2 level)
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field
- Specialization courses in data engineering, cloud computing, or analytics are a plus
